Cost
The cost of the Delhi Urban Workshop is $3,475 per person. For single-occupancy accommodations there will be an $800 supplementary charge. US taxpayers who file a Schedule C should be able to deduct the total cost of the Workshop and air travel as a professional expense. Consult your tax adviser.
What is Included
All instruction and educational activities of the Workshop – lectures, discussions, field visits, small-group projects, weekend trips and similar activities – led by Workshop faculty and other professionals.
Workshop materials: pre – departure, travel advisories, schedules, discussion outlines and readings, information on Delhi and the like.
All accommodations and breakfasts for the Workshop; orientation lunch and dinner on the final evening.
Transportation to sites, locations and agencies visited by the Workshop in Delhi and on weekend trips.
Transportation, accommodations and local travel for weekend trips.
What is Excluded
Domestic and international air travel.
Passport and visa expenses (see information under Travel)
Medical expenses and immunizations (see information under Travel)
Travel and trip cancellation insurance (highly recommended, see information under Travel)
Airport transfers and handling of baggage and personal effects
Lunches and dinners, except as specified.
Personal expenses for food, beverages and travel in Delhi and other cities; travel for small – group projects in Delhi.
Tips, telephone calls, faxes, laundry and other personal expenditures.
Admission tickets to historic sites and monuments, such as the Taj Mahal.
Deposit and Payments
A deposit of $650 per person is required to register for one of the 25 places in the Workshop. The balance of the cost of the Workshop is due by November 1, 2010. All payments will be acknowledged in writing.
Applicants with a checking account at a United States bank should remit all payments by check or by money order payable to the Delhi Urban Workshop. Payments should be mailed to:

Applicants who do not have an account at a US bank should arrange to have funds wired by their bank to the Workshop’s bank account. Details for wiring funds can be obtained by contacting the Workshop at info@delhiurbanworkshops.org.
Cancellations
Registrants canceling in writing by September 15, 2010 will be refunded half of their $650 deposit. Registrants canceling between September 15 and November 1 will forfeit their $650 deposit. Registrants canceling between November 1 and December 1, 2010 will be charged half the cost of the Workshop, while cancellations after December 1, 2010 will be charged the full cost of the Workshop. However, if the cancelled place can be readily filled from the waiting list, the registrant will be refunded the full cost of the Workshop, less a fee of $325. In the very unlikely event that the Workshop is cancelled all payments will be refunded.
